Wii

Now, I have said in the past that I hate the Wii. It's nothing to do with Nintendo, creators of probably the best and most famous pixel characters ever. Do I need mention the names Mario and Pikachu or start humming the famous Tetris tune. No. I don't. Well, I'm more or less on the Wii's side now and I'm thinking about buying a console. It's been hard resisting because this video pops in my head anyone mentions the word Wii.

Just watching those two nerdy Canadians beat the snot out of a next-gen console made me feel somewhat thankful that the media was preventing me from running into the Newcastle branch of Game and screaming "Wii!".

But, the media around me is taking a completely different change. Good ole Ze Frank (who completed his blogging project this year) made a video about the joys of playing with his Wii. Although masturbation references are blatant, I like it.

And to be honest, Wii Sports looks quite cool. It may reduce my hideous belly which is part of my hideously hideous physique.

And if you can't be bothered with the arseache of switching over the TV channel to check the news and weather, the Wii has it sorted.

And the internet is sorted too.

This is NOT an advertisement paid for by Nintendo. If Nintendo would like to pay me, the donation button is just to the right over there in the sidebar.

Or they could give me a Wii.

Teletext

I’m sure you’ve all seen the new Teletext ad featuring the song “Da Da Da” by 80’s pop group Trio.
If not, you need a smack. But you can see it just here.

Anyway, a man called NightowlDarksky made a video explaining the joys of Teletext on analogue telly, and even though it goes on a bit and its rather nerdy, I like it.

Another video, but this time a 1991 advert for ITV and Channel 4’s old Teletext service Oracle, “the ultimate newspaper”. Those were the days*.

And to end it all, some Samsung plasma screen Teletext troubles.

*I’d just like to point out I’m a child of 1993.

Telephoneneone

If you have a phone you may want to drop me a message via Snapvine. It's completely free and I'll listen to every one, no matter what you say. Just look at all the blah.

Go on. Do it.

Xishun

The tallest man in the world, Bao Xishun, wedded saleswoman Xia Shujian on Saturday.

Congratulations to him and his bride and good luck for the future from the entire blogging community.

In case you forgot, Bao was in the news in December for saving the lives of two dolphins by pulling plastic from their stomachs with his long arms, which is somewhat incredible.

Could I include anymore hyperlinks in a post? Yes.

Hotmail

Apparently, people who apply for jobs at a company who use Hotmail will be rejected instantly.

A man who works in the Human Resources department of the company said they select employees with their navigation of the internet. 5O applications were received, and 30 of them were deleted because they came from Hotmail provided addresses.

The reason is clear; you can't pretend being an internet expert and use a Hotmail account at the same time.

Office

This is a test post to see if my new edition of Microsoft Word can hook up with the blog.

It blatantly does.

News

I have a whole load of news I'd like to cover.

1. I'm going to do a video blog sometime soon. Don't know when, just bear with me.

2. I might transfer the podcast to blip.tv which will make everything far more exciting.

3. I'm rather fond of Four Second Firestorm, and you may want to check who has the hi-score. That's right, me.

Stickers

There's a painter on the internet who doesn't like Vista. So he made some stickers with error messages on them, went around Prague and stuck them onto Vista ads. Good for him.

Cardboard

I love Frank Sidebottom. He's the guy with the cardboard head in the new Proclaimers feat. Peter Kay and Matt Lucas song, if you don't know who he is.

Well, recently on Channel M in Manchester, Frank stayed up really late and done the testcard. Here's a bunch of videos with Frank the Testcard.

Norfolk

Yes, I stole this link off Knifewriter, but still. A CGI Norfolk newsreader thats been put together in somebodys lunch break seems worth enough to have here. Clicky for it.

Important

Righties, this is important. On iTunes, if you search head-doctor you will see my podcast (noemail@noemail.org). I'm gonna make a new podcast feed, so if you've subscribed, you'll have to subscribe again. BUT NOT YET.

When its time to re subscribe, I'll post on here.

Watch this space.

EDIT - All done, I just need to hook it up through iTunes then it's ready to rock.

Burn

I felt a bit guilty for not having any iTunes available episodes, so I had a rummage and found this parody of Will it Blend. I suppose it's also a parody of the Mac vs PC ads.

Borat

Now, today Borat was released on DVD, and I want to show you a clip from the movie.

Now, look at this funny remix, featuring a bit of Wii Sports (another thing which I hate, but works well in ths video).

And, another Borat video. But you can see more if you buy the DVD.

And now, buy the DVD here, here, here or here. No. You can also buy it here ironically as its featured in the movie.

Warcraft

Like many things in this world, I hate WoW (to clear things up, WoW = World of Warcraft. Not World of Wonder, the guys behind thisisaknife). And this video features the only use WoW has.

Now, I've kindly asked the creator of that video to burn a box (or all of them) show I can show the video to Matty "WoW Addict" Stanton and record his little face squirm.

Buxton

I've always wanted to feature Adam Buxton on here, so I've found a few videos for you to enjoy.

Pets

First, sorry for not updating all this blahspace.

Secondly, look at this.

I felt obliged to help him with this, and even though he put that video on YouTube on the 5th of February, he doesn't appear to have a guild he owns. So I just made him my Neofriend.

If you're sad like me and have a Neopets account, be my Neofriend at this little link, be my neofriend on my really old account and be r2d2926's friend too.
